Ooh la la!

A couple of years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to the River Convention in Amsterdam. We got to view many Ships over the couple of days there and see the real differences between the cruise lines. I previously hadn’t know how much choice River Cruisers actually had.

I stayed on board 2 very different lines, Emerald and  Croisieurope. Both play an important part in the River Market but for for totally different styles of passengers.

We did also experience viewings of Ama Waterways and Avalon too. Both luxury lines and very individual.

Yesterday I found out I was going to be heading out to Paris next Month for my first taste of actual River Cruising. Details haven’t come through as yet but we will be heading from Paris to Normandy on the Famous River Seine. Its a River popular with many people as we will be visiting the Normandy Landing Beaches, Monet’s Garden with a bit of the Capital thrown in too.

Avalon are a luxury Cruise line and I am really excited about spending the week taking in all the delights for myself for a change. It is something i have wanted to do for a while but as my children still love the Ocean’s, my husband and I were going to be in for a bit of a wait until our nest was empty to try such experiences.

There are many inclusions to Avalon’s cruises. Home Chauffeur pick up Service as long as you live within 100 miles of your Departure Airport. Onboard, you have complimentary WIFI which is a big plus these days whilst keeping in touch with loved ones. Wine and Beers is also complimentary during Lunch and Dinner with Teas and Coffee as well as Soft Drinks available throughout the day.

You get a choice of excursions included too that I am looking forward too as well. A bit of Culture for a change rather than Make up shops will make my time in France a very different.
