My Royal engagement

The beginning of May see’s me heading down the familiar journey to Southampton to meet a Royal.

No, I didn’t get an invite to the Wedding of the year but i did get an invite to meet the Stunning Royal Princess.

I mean this one!

Royal Princess was added to Princess Cruises fleet back in 2013 and with a little over 3200 Passengers on board, she will be a pretty impressive sight for me next week.

It isn’t the first Princess ship i have been on and in fact, I have done part of this itinerary a couple of years ago. That was on the Beautiful Caribbean Princess.

The Itinerary I am doing is part of their 12 night British Isles Voyage. This time I will be joining her in Southampton for the first 3 nights. Taking in Guernsey and Cobh before disembarking in Dublin.

Both the ports of call are of great interest to me and will be my first experiences of the Channel Islands and Southern Ireland. Well apart from Dublin that is.

Royal Princess carries just a little over 3200 Passengers and topping 142,000 Tonnes she is one of the larger in their fleet.

Having been on a couple of Princess Ships, I am ready to be wow’ed by the Atrium. Here is what I am talking about. How stunning does that look?

I am looking forward to experiencing the Speciality restaurants on board as well. Sabatini’s is one of my favourite’s on any ship I have been on. I don’t often bother with them as in my own experience, the Main Dining room menu is more than adequate.

Last time we had a night in the Crown Grill- I am a big Steak person and was really looking forward to the experience. We had a table filled with Lobster and Steak and it was a real banquet- Just wasn’t blown away with it compared to the Main Dining complimentary options.

Sabatini’s on the other-hand totally blew me away. A Place I would pay the extra to go back to as I really enjoyed the menu choices and the food itself.

So, lets see what next week brings. I will be doing a follow up blog about my travels.
