Only 7 days left…

The 28th February is nearly upon us.  Now this might not mean too much to you, but for us in the Cruise industry we know that this is the last day of all the fabulous offers that some of the big cruise companies have been advertising since the end of December for their 2014 campaigns.

Be it free drinks packages for adults or kids, free parking at Southampton, a bit of on board credit to spend as you wish, upgrade offers and low saver fares.  The list is endless with all the companies offering something better to try and entice you to book with them.

Does booking early really get you the best deal? In my opinion yes it does. I know that throughout the year (as per previous years) these cruise companies will be offering other campaigns to get you to book with them, but the long and the short of it is, by booking now you get what you really want from you cruise holiday.  If you leave it too late you may miss out on the cabin type you want or the dining option, even the price. The fares will increase  as time goes on and they will not be offering all the choices of ‘freebies’ that they have available now.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have by far been offering some of the best deals with multiply options to apply to your booking, obviously they have their terms & conditions as do the likes of P&O and Cunard whom also have fantastic fares and options available, along with all the other cruise companies offering deals until the end of this month.

Yes, you could wait until later in the year just to see if prices may fall, but do you want to take that risk?  For many years doing this job, it has always been a fact that late December to end of February is the best time to book any travel.  I have seen it so much in the past when clients have returned back to me to check the quote I gave them 3 months prior to then see the price increase beyond their original budget and in some cases not be able to offer them the exact of what they want.

The days of bargain last minute holidays no longer really exist, there are very few occasions when you may be able to pick up an extremely good offer leaving in less than 6 weeks, but these types of holidays are now few and far between. Unless you are in a position to be able to holiday at last minute regardless of the dates, duration or time of year, you need to book in advance.

So, don’t miss out on your dream cruise holiday, get it booked NOW…..
