Star Gazing On Board P&O Cruises

Halloween is just around the corner so I had to get my skates on and get my outfit organised. I am going to a concert at one of the City Of Culture 2013 events where the main act is Nile Rogers and Chic, the stars of the 70’s. It is a themed event so I had to hit the internet to try and get a 70’s outfit sorted. Whilst googling until my eye balls were nearly crossed it made me think about themed events and cruising in particular. In recent years I have seen a huge increase in themed events where even the likes of Donny Osmond is getting in on the act.

However, this year the amount of themed cruises is astounding, with P&O leading the way with the largest choice of star studded cruises to date. They have something for everyone including:

  • West End Men – This celebrates the great musical numbers from the most popular West End Shows
  • Michael Ball – Britain’s Olivier Award winning leading musical star
  • The Perfect Menu – Enjoy a food and wine cruise with leading culinary stars Marco Pierre White, Atul Kochhar, Olly Smith, Eric Lanlard
  • Strictly Come Dancing – Join some of the series favourites and the out spoken judges on a dance filled trip where you have the opportunity to not only meet them but maybe learn a move or two
  • I love the 80’s – The UK’s most successful live 80’s event. On this cruise will be Paul Young, Howard Jones, Heaven 17, the original punk princess Toyah Willcox, Carol Decker of T’Pau fame and Clare Grogan from Altered Images.

  • Katherine Jenkins – The world’s fastest selling soprano and the UK’s darling.
  • Music Festivals at Sea – This popular classical music cruise is no in its 30th year
  • Davis Essex – The legendary singer, Actor and composer is sailing from the UK to the Caribbean as the Azura launches its winter Caribbean programme on 1st November.

So not only do you get to enjoy a fantastic cruise, food, facilities and exotic and Mediterranean ports, but you get to do it in the company of some of the UK’s most popular and talented stars – for no extra cost. I know what my next cruise booking will be, although I better get my skates on as availability is low due to the popular stars P&O have on board. I may actually start a petition to get Gary Barlow on board for the next batch – well if you don’t ask you don’t get.
