Royal Caribbean bring a touch of Oasis Class to the Med

So the latest BIG BIG gift from Royal Caribbean to the UK and European cruise market is the ALLURE OF THE SEAS to be sailing out of Barcelona and Rome in 2015. This is fantastic news and clearly cements the fact that European Cruises are the leading preference of cruisers worldwide.

In a recent survey in South Africa for iAfrica.com Eastern European Cruises lead the way taking the first spot from its neighbouring Western Mediterranean counterpart. However, with the introduction of the Allure of the Seas with its ports focusing on Barcelona, Rome, Majorca, Marseilles, Livorno and Naples along with the previous announcement of the Anthem of the Seas being based in Southampton (itineraries still to be announced) are we going to see a shift of focus back to the old faithful ports but on the newest, all singing, all dancing ships?

We need to face the fact that a lot of people who normally would scoff at going back to any of those ports will feel as revitalised as some of the older Royal Caribbean ships, and will now have a renewed interest solely down to the facilities that Allure of the Seas brings.

Below are some of the main attractions for this Oasis Class ship and it will be clear to see why it will hopefully bring a new zest of life to the Western Med.

The Aquatheatre is a major new development for these class of ships. It is currently the deepest salt water pool at sea and has hundreds of water jets that can shoot up to 20 m in height. There are currently three different shows to see here and these can be booked on your cruise personaliser before you go so you dont be disappointed when you get on board and all the seats are reserved.

The Fantastic Central Park neighbour brings a lovely relaxed, outdoor vibe to the ship. Even better is the Central Park view balconies that you can normally pick up at a reasonable rate. No more looking at the boring ocean on sea days – you can exercise your people watching skills 24 hrs and day!!

The Comedy Club would make a fantastic date night for the parents whilst the children are being cared for in the evening sessions of the kids clubs. It brings something alternative to the standard cruise entertainment schedule.

If one climbing wall just isn’t enough for you then fear not!! The Oasis class ships have TWO ROCK CLIMBING WALLS which will enable even more people be adventurous. Another happy addition for all adrenaline junkies is also the zip liner which runs down the middle of the ship – go on give it a good, you know you want to!!

The Allure of the seas 2015 programme is being launch to Crown and Anchor members on the 12th February and will book up extremely quick – so don’t miss out and give me a call to reserve your cabin!!!!
