A La Carte or Freestyle

Most cruise lines these days have the option to pre-book your dinning options. With the new pricing restructure now in place with P&O and Cunard set for departures from Spring 2014, will this cause issue’s for customers booking cheaper fares and only having their 2nd option as a choice.

Norwegian cruise lines seem to be doing something right, having the freedom and choice as to when and where to eat. I have not heard any negative feed back based on the freestyle option with Norwegian and feel that this works well. However there are some customers that like routine and schedule so they can plan their day.

I have traveled with both P&O and Norwegian cruise lines and can honestly say that having the freedom with Norwegian cruise lines was fantastic to wine and dine when I wanted to. However the option to have a set meal time and have waiter service was also very spectacular as this service was second to none.

What does everyone else think? Freestyle or A La Carte???
