Edinburgh Zoo

I have had family staying over the weekend so we made the most of the dry but cold weather in visiting the tourist attractions in Edinburgh.

Yesterday we decided on a trip to the Zoo. Edinburgh Zoo is pretty famous for the two Giant Pandas Tian Tian & Yang Quang. The Pandas have been a huge attraction since they arrived in December 2011.

There was a brand new attraction just oppened called Penguins Rock. Its the largest outdoor Penguin pool in Europe. Its a huge area with all different types of Penguins.

The Budungo trail gives you the opportunity to get up close to the Chimps.

This was my second time at the Zoo with my little boy and it was great to see him interact with all the animals. Even if he did point at everything and call it a dog!!

If you like getting up close and personal with animals there are plenty of chances when taking a cruise. You just need to know you pick the right one. Maybe you  would like to visit Giant Pandas?
