Biggest ship to visit Edinburgh yet!!

On Monday I headed down to South Queensferry, around a 15 minute drive from the centre of Edinburgh. I was off to visit the Caribbean Princess for lunch.

This is the first Princess ship I have been on and I will be honest it didn’t give me the WOW I was expecting. The atrium as nice as it is a very social area I was expecting a little more glitz & glam.

I entered the atrium and the first thing that hit me was how similar it was to Ventura, the more parts of the ship I visited the more I realised she was just like Ventura in so many ways.

When doing a ship tour I always head to the top deck and work my way down. First stop Skywalkers Nightclub, Wow I loved it!! Could see myself up there with the fantastic floor to ceiling ocean views with a nice cocktail in hand!!

Next down to the Kids clubs and Sanctuary, The Spa and outdoor area was almost identical to Ventura. A great area for peace, quiet & relaxation.

Deck 15, Lido deck there was lots going on up here, the pools and bars seem to have a pirate theme with Blackbeard’s bar, Trident grill, Neptune’s reef & pool and Calypso bar. I found there to be lots of areas with what looked like sufficient space for a large amount of people.

Onto Dining where you have the Horizon Court for buffet style food all day, I decided to grab a slice of pizza from Prego on lido deck, I have to say they make a mean Italian style pizza!  The main dining restaurants are found on decks 6 & 7. I went down to the Atrium and decided I didn’t need a 3 course meal after my huge slice of pizza!! I went to the International Café in the atrium had a lovely mozzarella and prosciutto bagel with waldorf salad. Now I couldn’t leave without trying a dessert!! I need to let everyone know what the food is like!! I had chocolate brownie (not a patch on my Khalua brownie) and a lovely lemon meringue pot. Must get my fiancé Chris to show me how to make that it was fantastic. Before you wonder why I would ask him to show me how to make it he is a chef, a very good one at that!!
