Msc to sail from Southampton Good or Bad?

What do you think about MSC Cruises planning to offer cruises from Southampton

As part of their 2011 UK brochure MSC will be giving some of the more well known cruise lines a run for their  money, with competitive prices, free car parking and on board credit deals.

But is this going to be enough to win you over?

With sailings leaving from Europe they haven’t always been know for catering to the British passenger. I’ve had guests tell me in the past that UK guests are treated like second class citizens!

They will be aiming entertainment more towards British clientele and apparently they will be offering a more British influenced menu and even the traditional Scones for afternoon tea. ( Always a personal favourite of mine)

If they manage to get this right and at the right price I wonder how this will affect the likes of Royal Caribbean or P & O?

I guess it’s going to be a case of watch this space!!
