Superb Silhouette – Part 2

If you`ve read my  first blog about my recent cruise on Celebrity Silhouette you will know that I was so impressed with her. The staff were lovely, the ship was spotlessly  clean and the organisation was incredible, far more efficient than I would have ever expected on a ship carrying over 3000 passengers.

One of the main things for me, about any holidays not just cruise, is the food, and wine of course, not too mention a few cocktails! We had already decided to try some of the Speciality Restaurants on Eclipse, necessary for research of course!

In the main restaurant we opted for late traditional dining with a table for 8. The food was excellent , as was the service, but it actually felt a little dated and I kind of wished we`d actually chosen Celebrity Select open dining. The few evenings that we ate  there it was very obvious that tables that had been full on the first evening were now empty, or half empty, as people decided to do different dining options.

Our voyage around the Speciality Restaurants started at Murano, the French influenced venue. The food was excellent, as was the service, the wine flowed freely and in fact this was so good we managed to get a reservation for the last night of the cruise, late at 9pm but so worth it. This was my favourite place to eat. I had lobster, cooked at the table, both times and it was to die for.

The Tuscan Grill was also very good, but so much food! Situated at the back of the ship with wonderful views as you dine. I loved the Lawn Club too. Lots of fun and brilliant service, the only problem was it rained the night we ate there, would have been much nicer in the sunshine. But we were given lovely tartan blankets to keep us warm! I`m not really a fan of Japanese food but Sushi on Five was also excellent, especially for a light lunch.

Our favourite bar was the World Class Bar where they make the best cocktails. Great for a pre dinner drink.

Last but definitely not least we met this little fellow. I won`t say too much as it will spoil it for anyone who wants to try Qsine on Silhouette but here are some little pictures of Le Petit Chef!
