Royal Clipper – End of the Adventure

After the excitement of the race with Star Clipper the rest of the day passed calmly on board with a quick trip into Dominica and some sun time on board. Royal Clipper has 3 small pools and lots of sunbeds but there is always something going on around you to grab your attention.

That evening we headed off towards our final port of call, Antigua. We were scheduled to have a barbecue on the beach near Falmouth, something that takes place on every cruise and is one of the highlights.

That evening I discovered why this voyage is called The Windward Islands! It was a little choppy to put it mildly and I was woken the next morning by the sound of the waves crashing over my portholes! The announcement was soon made by the Captain that it was too windy to get near to the beach and we would continue on to St. John, our barbecue was not going to happen!

Another relaxing morning was spent on board – unless of course you fancy a spot of mast climbing! Just in case you wondered – no I didn`t !

We arrived into St Johns just after lunch and moored next to Jewel of the Seas.

I know which one I would rather be on!

Our Adventure on Royal Clipper was over, we said our goodbyes and headed off to Antigua airport for our flight back to Barbados and the last night of our trip.
