The countdown is on 18 more sleepys and back to NYC I go

Having been to the US a number of times I never get bored of going back to New York. This time is very poignant my partner Laura has bought me tickets to go and see Pink in Concert at Madison Sq Gardens and also we are going to be finding out where the cruise terminal is for our big holiday in October where we are sailing on our very first MSC Cruise to the Caribbean. I love the big city and love that we get lost in it every time or we discover something new everytime we go back like the tiny diner where all the locals go and they serve the best pancakes ever or for less than $3 you can travel all the way down to Coney Island for the day on the subway and have a day at the beach or visit all the retro shops down there. Having never travelled in May to New York its going to be interesting to see what the weather will be like but there are plenty of shops to purchase clothes from if I do take the wrong items. My top 5 things to do in the city are :

1 Staton Island ferry as this is a great way to get up close to the statue of liberty and see the new york skyline and its free !!

2 rooftop terrace cocktails at sunset

3 visit ground zero as it is so humbling to see all of those names and you can visualise just how big these skyscrapers were and how many people lost there lives in 9/11

4 visit Tiffanys jewellery store

5 shop shop shop shop shop

This time when we go we are hoping to travel out to see Brooklyn and visit the iconic bridge that stands in all its glory and we have also discussed the option of going up to Washington for the day on the Amtrak as I have always wanted to visit the white house and see the great statue of Abraham Lincoln and all the other monuments this great city has.
