New York did not disappoint !!

Good morning first day back in the office after my amazing trip to New York I have well and truly fallen in love with this amazing city. Not only did my girlfriend treat me to this trip as a birthday gift she also got me fantastic tickets to see Pink in Madison Sq Gardens. If you have never been to any sporting event or concert there I strongly recommend it. We did a behind the scenes tour before the concert and got to learn all about the history of the building and what exciting events they had hosted over the years. I never knew that the building itself has been moved four times around the city in different locations but now has its forever home and in 2014 they spent 1.6 billion on renovations.

We really took things easy on this trip and didn’t stick to a strict regime which made it so much more enjoyable we did over 100,000 steps and was worth every second of it. We discovered an amazing little restaurant called Alsatian that had a secret hidden garden and had the most wonderful brunch there with unlimited mimosas !! We discover something new every time we travel to this wonderful city this time we discovered the new Vessell which doesn’t disappoint. We also had cocktails at the very top of the observatory and I strongly recommend you purchase the queue jumpers as they were worth the money and as you know the views of the city from up there are incredible. We found a lovely English bar called the Churchill which strangely played his voice in the ladies loo.

This time around we booked an AIR BNB and the location was perfect on East 52nd and was 2 minutes walk from the subway so had easy access to everywhere the city had to offer. we purchased $20 subway pass and that lasted us the entire week. We also used the AirTrain and subway from the airport as its the quickest route into this city and the cheapest $7.75 pp.

Even though we have just got back I am now counting down the days until the next trip back out this in October this city has well and truly won my heart.
