A bit of me time …

It’s been a long time since I told you what was happening in the world of Betsy. Well, I have been working hard as always since Christmas but I have just enjoyed my first bit of time off this year and I was so ready for a break !!!!
I haven’t had the greatest of years so far, my husband was diagnosed with DVT’s in February and has been undergoing various specialist and hospital appointments as they were classed as unprovoked, no cause for them. On a recent test it showed a fresh clot so there we were back to square one again. We were just about to book a Caribbean cruise but I soon put a stop to that and changed our arrangements to sailing out of the UK. There have been a few highlights though as well, my son’s Rugby team got through the finals, my niece and nephew turned 21 and we were godparents to our great nephew Oscar.

Anyway as many of you know we bought a caravan to take our dog on holiday so for the first time this year we used it and we went to the Lakes at the end of May. We stayed in the little village of Pooley Bridge. It always amazes me when we go there such a small place but we always bump into a handful of people we know.


We were so lucky as we had the most amazing weather and missed and storms that were happening in the surrounding areas.
As always we went with our best friends which is great as we all like to do the same things, my best friend had to take it easy as she had damaged her knee but we still managed some great walks and some catching up

I always feel really lucky when we go to the lakes as it is so gorgeous ….

I then caught up on some much-needed house jobs before starting back at work. Although not for long as I have a manic few months coming up, me and my husband are having a week in Lanzarote , we have our daughters 18th so lots of celebrations planned, a couple of days away with my sisters to a spa, my Godson’s 1st birthday, weddings and a couple more caravan trips.
