Time flies when you’re having fun…..

I really do not know where the last week or so has gone. Thursday of last week I set off to Southampton to join my colleagues for our 2 night Christmas Conference onboard P&O Oceana to Bruges and what a fabulous time we all had.The same thing cant be said for the journey there and back though! Delayed trains going and coming back, then we missed our connection in London and then to top it off when we did get on the train I had to sit on the floor in the corridor as there were no seats. These things are sent to try us I suppose. As a homeworker it was lovely to meet fellow homeworkers and be able to put a face to the people that you speak to day in day out. I must admit most looked better in real life than on their business cards!

Whilst onboard I was lucky enough to experience both the alternative dining options, dining in the Horizon Grill on the first night and in Cafe Jardin ( Marco Pierre White Restaurant) on the second night. The Horizon Grill is situated on Sun Deck and you can dine on scrumptious catch of the day, Casterbridge 21 day aged beef T Bone steaks and much more that is cooked to order. Cafe Jardin is a more relaxed affair and  is open 24 hours a day and the menu caters for visitors at any time.

The biggest burger ever in the Horizon Grill

Trio of desserts in Cafe Jardin ( not happy with one)

I didnt get off in Zeebrugge as I have been 4 times this year already and really didnt need to be buying anymore Belgium chocolate as I am still trying to plough my way through the last lot!

Before I knew it  I was back home and getting ready for the party season with family and friends. It was all a bit manic really when I realised Christmas was almost upon us and still 101 jobs to be done.As they say a womans work is never done!

Christmas day was special as my grandaughter is now 18 months old and it was lovely seeing her little face opening all her presents.Oh to be a kid again although some who know me say I am still a big kid at heart!

My gorgeous grandaughter Sophia.

I have now got the New Year to look forward to and I hope 2013 is as good to me as 2012 was.
