Best Of British

Well what a week to be British!!! In the run up to the event of the year I can’t help feeling very proud to be British. Everywhere you turn there is a union Jack flying high and a real buzz in the air as we all get ready to see Wills and Kate get married. Friday is going to be a day where we can celebrate our monarchy and be involved in a moment of history so to keep things nice and traditional I thought I would blog about the fantastic British Isles cruises that are available. The UK offers some of the most spectacular coastline around the world, whether you are sailing in summer or winter your experience aboard a cruise ship travelling around Great Britain will be first class.  You can Set sail from Southampton and  pass the coastline of Wales and Northern Ireland, docking at Liverpool and voyaging up towards the magnificent West coast of Scotland.

If you are voyaging in winter you may even see the Northern Lights as you cruise around the Hebrides. In the summer, Great Britain has some of the greenest landscapes and thousands of varieties of birds and mammals. P&O, Princess, Silversea, Fred Olsen, Cunard and Princess all offer excellent itineraries for a cruise around the UK and we can tailor the voyage to suit your interests and tastes.

Most Round Britain cruises tend to be between nine and fourteen days and there’s usually a different port of call everyday. British passengers tend to favour Fred Olsen’s or Cunard and are aged over 50. I think you will particularly enjoy this type of cruise if you appreciate enrichment programmes and have keen interest in wildlife and nature. Most ships will also feature an expert speaker or will give lectures onboard. Long walks and the chance to explore historic sites in the company of an expert are part of the attraction of a round Britain cruise.

A fantastic offer to sample one of these cruises is available on the Ocean Princess. Sailing out on the 25th August with a beautiful Itinerary:

Dover,
At sea
Greenock, Scotland
Greenock, Scotland

Waterford, Ireland

This is an amazing £799.00pp for an inside cabin for 7 nights. What brilliant value for money and a real treat as the Ocean Princess is a lovely ship with an incredible choice of bars , restaurants spa facilities and entertainment.
