And the lucky winner is ………..

ITS ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My work colleagues are probably sick of hearing it now, but I had the best news ever on Monday morning.  Feeling the normal Monday morningish blues I arrived at my desk and began to switch my computer on and get ready for the week ahead.  My work colleague in marketing came over and asked me if I had been entering any competitions over the weekend.  I looked at him rather uninterestedly as I thought he was pulling my leg.  I responded that I hadn’t and told him to get back to work and stop having me on , but he went on to tell me that I had been selected at random on Saturday afternoon as the lucky winner of a Royal Caribbean cruise .  I was shocked at first but then absolutely chuffed to bits and let out a very happy squeal.  It came to light that Royal Caribbean had been running an incentive for agents where every booking we made entitled us to enter into a prize draw to win a cruise.  I had seen the email, but to be honest never win anything so didn’t give it much thought. Luckily my manager had been entering them for us so needless to say I owe her a large drink or two!!!

I am so excited as I love Royal Caribbean it is my favourite line and I have never been on a cruise for holidays before only ever on business so to actually experience everything as a passenger is very exciting.  I am off next month on the 29TH for 12nts on the Serenade of the seas going around Greece, Italy and Turkey.  This will be great as I love this part of the world and am especially excited to see Santorini as I have had plenty of feedback that it’s beautiful.  We are staying in an ocean view cabin which is brilliant but to be honest I won’t be spending much time in my cabin as I want to be out and about around the ship exploring and taking it all in.  The Serenade is in the Radiance class and holds 2,501 passengers.  She is very sophisticated and contemporary and has so much to do on board.  I will be definitely trying Portofino’s the Italian fine dining experience and enjoy a good old juicy steak in the Chops grille.  I will have a little flutter in the Casino Royale and may even attempt the rock climbing wall as I reached the top last year on the Grandeur so I will have to see if I’ve still got it!!  Most of all I’m just going to relax and enjoy every last second of this fab trip , after all its not very often you win a cruise holiday.  So thanks a million Royal Caribbean I’m over the moon.
Let me know if you have been on the Serenade and what your thoughts were.
