Countdown to live Saturday Night Take Away on board Britannia!

So in less than 2 weeks Ant & Deck will be live on board Britannia for Saturday Night Takeaways final show of the series! As an Ant & Dec fan I am really excited to watch this first ever live episode on board  as I am sure alot of people are…especially those passengers lucky enough to be on board with them.  Not only will you be entertained by the comedy duo but there are promises of other celebrities too.

Britannia will set sail on her 2 week itinerary on the 27 March and arrive in Barcelona where she will be docked whilst the show is aired live from the top deck! Ant & Dec will be on board for one night along with their celebrity guests. P&O have promised that all passengers on board will be able to watch the show from various venues on board…..now this is a big promise as there will be about 3600 passengers on board!

Saturday Night Takeaway is a huge, highly popular show, so much so they won a Batfa in 2015. I can only imagine the amount of organising that goes into even attempting something as huge as this on board a ship. Britannia will be docked in Barcelona for 2 nights for them to film the show, which has meant some itinerary changes for the cruise. P&O have also made passengers aware that the full swimming pool area will be closed for 2 days whilst the show is set up and aired. I’ve talked to some passengers who are disappointed by this but most expected some level of disruption- worth it when you think what an amazing experience they are going to have.

It was only a year ago I was on board Britannia just as she was about to launch and I loved the ship. She is a really beautiful as you can see from my photos and I think they made the perfect choice for this live tv experience. I think Ant & Dec on board P&O’s flagship is fantastic and what better way to showcase Britannia.

As it’s the school holidays Briannia is going to be pretty much full  with lots of families on board but there are still cabins available , so if you want the chance to join in and get on board with Ant & Dec get in touch.

What do you think…would you love to be on board Britannia ? Do you think P&O have got this right? Will you be watching on the 2nd April…? I know I will be.
