Fed & Entertained Superbly

Well what can I say about the food on Celebrity – one word says it all – FANTASTIC!

We had 2nd dining and thought we had a table for 8 which is what we prefer but when we went down to dinner the 1st night we had a table for 2.  Oh no I thought I have to speak to hubby every night for 10 nights – haha!! It was OK as there was another table for 2 next to us and a 4 on the other side so we all chatted each evening.  A lovely Canadian couple and 4 Aussie’s so I was in my element as they were from Brisbane so lots to talk about.

The main restaurant is called ‘Opus’ and was lovely and spacious, light & airy and very welcoming. The waiters were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us. Even if I wanted 4 starters – they just laughed at me.  I don’t do puddings so that was my excuse!

There was so much choice, at least 6-8 starters & 4-6 mains to choose from and it was harder each evening as all the food was amazing.

We only had 1 evening where we ate in another speciality restaurant as it was our 5th Wedding Anniversary on 26th July so we booked into the ‘Tuscan Grille’ which is the Italian Steak House at the aft of the ship overlooking the ‘wash’.  We ate here last time on Eclipse on the same date – it was definitely ‘De Ja Vue’ for me as my hubby surprised me yet again with some beautiful roses brought to the table.  If you eat here please try to get a table by the window, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely meal and the ‘filet mignon’ was stunning. The waiter even brought us a lovely cake for dessert which was delicious.

My favourite breakfast on a cruise is Salmon & scrambled eggs, I had this a few times on board as they serve this in the buffet & in the Opus restaurant.

I even had a Lobster tail which was OK but not as good as I’ve had last time.

I did use the gym on board also as eating all this fabulous food – it had to be done & so glad I did.

Then there was the Entertainment, this was also amazing. I went to the show most nights whilst hubby was getting ready as he wasn’t that keen but I thoroughly enjoyed them.  The show as at 7.30pm each evening so I went before our dinner at 8.45pm.  A variety of shows were put on by magicians, comedians, pianist & much more.

The performers had such great vocals and sang some well-known songs which we all sang along to.  The dancers were also amazing and their flexibility was amazing and very entertaining.

My favourite was on the last night, it was amazing, here is a snippet for you….

So as you can see we had a fantastic time on board Reflection and I would recommend this cruise to anyone.

But where did we go?
Come back next time for more info on the ports we visited.

Whilst you are reading this I am in China testing out our ‘Grand Tour of China’ bucket list trip so I will tell you all about that too.  I am back in the office on 29 August.
