This was our first cruise
and we wanted something
special as we also
renewed our marriage vows
after 47 years. We also
chose the Baltic as we
had never been to that
area before. We also
chose Freedom Dining.
Our first impression was
"Wow!" What a huge ship!...
We sailed on Queen
Victoria on 10th June
from Southampton which is
a great start to the
holiday. The Art Deco
Interior of the ship was
first class . Our cabin
was all we could have
asked and the cabin was
kept spotless by William
our cabin steward...
Cruised 4 times with
Celebrity prior to my
last cruise through the
Panama Canal. Found the
Summit to be under manned
and on formal nights
slacks and shirt allowed
We selected this cruise
for two reasons: it was
exceptional value for
money and there was a
direct connecting flight
Belfast/Palma. That's
much better than
travelling to
Southhampton.The
embarkation/disembarkatio
n arrangements went like
clockwork...
We've recent come back
from 2 weeks on
CelebrityX -
Constellation - Cruising
around the Baltic. We've
previously cruised with
Celeb on the Galaxy -
which we thought was
great. The embarkation
process at Harwich was a
litle fraught...
This was my first
cruise. The Boudicca
is a beautiful ship.
I could not fault
anything on board
except the cabin
on Marina deck was
back aft and I found
the engine noise kept
me awake...
We are regular cruisers,
though only once before
with FOCL.
We were not dissapointed
with any aspects of this
cruise. Embarkation was
well organised and
efficient. With some
cruise lines this is
chaotic and stressful
just when a hassle free
operation at the...
Our balcony stateroom was
L261 and was on on the
Lido deck. It was small
with and not quite
finished, some areas had
not had the final trim
screwed on and there were
some empty screw holes
here and there. My
husband pressed one light
switch and it...
We recently spent 11 days
on the MDC ARMONIA We
would not recommend MSC
cruises to anyone or go
on another MSC cruise
ourselves. The reasons
being three fold.
1] The food was poor -
compared with other lines
we have sailed with, it
was akin to school...
Nice cruise but food
could have been
better,tastles fish
,smash for mashed potatoe
. I was on 2nd sitting
and it seemed as if it
had been cooked for 1st
sitting and kept hot.One
or two waiters a bit
moody apart from that
cruise ok.
We sailed on MSC Poesia
on her maiden voyage in
April. Like all cruise
ships there were good and
bad things.
We felt embarkation at
Dover, was brilliant. We
arrived at 12 noon, ans
were on bourd by 1
o'clock...
The main restaurant on
the Marco Polo is the
Waldorf restaurant where
the food and service was
extremely good, there was
a fantastic variety,
especially in the fish
dishes. Wine prices were
reasonable, although the
beer prices were slightly
more expensive...
