It's Always Five O'Clock Somewhere - New Bars And Restaurants On Norwegian Sky

March 25, 2015

The Norwegian Star has found itself decked out with brand new restaurants and bars following a two week dry dock.

The renovations include the first-at-sea Jimmy Buffet Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar, inspired by Margartiaville. On Deck 7 it will serve signature margaritas and nightly live music. The bar will replace the Red Lion Pub.

Ginza is now a complimentary dining venue, dropping its previous $15 per person price tag. With more dishes than ever before, including a la carte items and custom sushi, sashimi and Ishiyaki, for an additional fee. Another first for the cruise line, Ginza with feature a moving sushi belt – much like premium sushi restaurants you can find on land.

The Star has also had the popular O’Sheehan’s 24 hour complimentary restaurant and pub added, along with Moderno Churrascaria, the Brazillian-style steakhouse, moved to Desk 13, near a new Sugarcane Mojito Bar.

There have also been other shipwide enhancements, including digital touch-screen signage, casino update, the photo gallery, pool deck and gallery areas, in addition to smaller refurbishments such as window replacements, new carpets and flooring in passenger areas.

The Norwegian Star might not be a brand new ship but these updates and additions make her just as attractive to cruise aboard as any of the new liners. After hearing about these improvements, are you interested in cruising aboard Norwegian Star?
