Norwegian Cruise Line Reveals Exciting Refurbishments for Norwegian Joy

Family-friendly Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed that its ship Norwegian Joy will undergo a range of refurbishments in 2024.

The cruise line has confirmed that the new enhancements to the ship, originally built in 2017, will include a whole host of developments to “elevate the onboard guest experience”, including the installation of 24 new staterooms, a new Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, plus an expansion of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club.

Guests will be able to enjoy all of the new facilities on Norwegian Joy from February 2024.

The enhanced Spa Thermal Suite, which will replace the Galaxy Pavilion, will have a more centralised layout, feature new sculptures and a welcoming entrance corridor adorned with waterfalls. Inside the spa, there will be a new separate lounge area that will have more hot tile loungers, plus more treatments, such as a Biostation with IV Drip Therapy and a Kneipp haptic foot therapy.

Elsewhere, the Observation Lounge will be redesigned to make way for the 23 new balcony staterooms, plus the two Haven by Norwegian® Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony will have its living rooms renovated and be expanded to three bedrooms.

Additionally, Vibe Beach Club will be developed to take over the current Laser Tag space on deck 20 and have some super deluxe private new cabanas installed too.

“Delivering exceptional experiences across our fleet is what we strive to do. We have listened to our guests and have taken action.

With this revitalization we are adding some of the most beloved spaces and offerings across our ships to enhance the guest experience aboard Norwegian Joy. Guests will have a greater variety of staterooms to choose from and a world class, full-service spa to spend their days at sea fully immersed in relaxation.”

David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Joy’s refurbishments will be completed by 12th February 2024. The ship will set sail the day after on a Transatlantic cruise from Southampton to Miami and then voyage on a number of Caribbean cruises from Miami in spring 2024.
