LOL: It depends on the weather

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

I did the return journey last winter. We had some nasty weather in front of us, but slowed down so we did not catch up.
Doing it again this winter, and not worried at all!

The Atlantic is very unpredictable, but one might expect worse conditions in the winter. The QM2, in particular, is built for it.

    Hi,

I used to suffer badly, but now take Stugeron as soon as any 'rough weather ' or worse, 'a swell' is likely. You need to take them two hours beforehand & then every eight hours whilst the rough weather continues.

I took them for 3 days on a very rough North Atlantic crossing and had no ill effects from the seas or the tablets!

We had our worst crossing to France in over 30 years on 27/10, on the 'fast craft'. So many people being ill, it was dire. I had taken the tablets & was absolutely fine!!:D

    Welcome Juke Box.

Crossings from Southampton to New York generally take the Northern route which can be rough especially in winter but the QM2 is built for it.
Crossing to the Caribbean on the other hand take the Southern route (the old trade passage) which is a lot calmer (on our last crossing via this route it was as still as a mill pond)

    Hope this is of help.

    Cheers.
