Southampton parking - Cruise Parking (Marchwood) or CPS (at the port)?

Two real options for anyone wanting safe, secure parking at Southampton:

Cruise Parking Ltd (Marchwood) (Cruise Parking)

    or

CPS (Car parking for cruises departing from Southampton, UK)

Parking at the port with CPS costs around £148 for 14 nights, and we all know it's good - and convenient.
    But it's also very expensive.

The same number of nights at Marchwood can be had for less than £130 complete with a Holiday Inn Express room for the night.

A much better deal pricewise, the parking's secure, and the only adverse comments I've ever seen relate to the delays getting to and from the port in the shuttle buses.

Has anyone used Marchwood lately, and is able to comment on the delays (if any)? Any other thoughts on Marchwood? Just seems an awful lot cheaper for a little bit more effort.

If you are looking at a hotel and park package, then there are many hotels in Southampton which offer this.
A list, with prices, is on this website

    Hi,
We use Marchwood every time we cruise from Southampton.Last time we were there was in January; there were no problems and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We've booked again for next month.

It depends which cruiseline you are going on. ABP only do parking for RCI, Celebrity, MSC, NCL, Saga and Fred Olsen. CPS cover P&O, Princess and Cunard. Dont think you can choose.

...but how secure are these hotels for parking? Are you not just leaving your car in a public place?

Parking4cruises will meet and greet at the cruise terminal and offer an excellent service at a very good price. We have used them and their sister company at Heathrow Airport and been highly delighted.
