New Years Resolutions.

About this time last year, my New Years Resolution was to make 2013 my year for a big change!

Up until then I had spent many years plodding along in a job I had done for 15 years since leaving college into the world of travel.  I wasn’t particularly unhappy in my part-job but with my children all getting a bit older I knew this was my time to get out of my rutt and take a leap.

So with my New Years Resolution in mind at the end of January this year I got in touch with a old colleague who was having an amazing time working as a homeworker. I had been tempted in previous years into this but never been brave enough to make that step, but this was my year for a big change and I took a full time homeworking position with Cruise.co.uk. and left the world of high street travel that I have known and loved for 15 years behind me.

A BIG GAMBLE!!!!!! Yes but now I can safely say this was the best decision I have ever made and never looked back.  I have had a brilliant 2013 I have met some amazing new colleagues and now friends, been on some fantastic trips and  booked some of the most lovely customers I ever had the pleasure of speaking to. So these are my highlights from 2013.

August I visited MSC Magnifica at the White cliffs of Dover. I had always thought of MSC as a budget brand but I was so wrong they were fantastic. This was the blog I wrote about my experience http://turnersworldtours.co.uk/2013/08/28/magnifica-day-for-the-msc-virgin/

In September I was so excited to take my 2 eldest daughters and husband to see their first cruise ship, Holland America MS Rotterdam. I loved seeing their faces when we arrived in Harwich and saw the ship for the first time.

Also in September I was told by my manager Mark that I had passed my probation and cruise.co.uk were stuck with me.

In November I was so pleased to be invited to the 3rd Annual River cruise convention. River cruising was relativity new to me and I couldn’t wait to have a whole weekend in Cologne finding out first hand.  http://turnersworldtours.co.uk/2013/11/22/river-cruise-convention-2013/.

Lastly and probably the biggest highlight since joining cruise.co.uk was Xmas Conference just a fews ago.  I had been looking forward to this for so long and it looked set to be a disaster when 4 days before we were set to leave P&O cancelled our trip, but cruise.co.uk sent Vicky to our rescue who arranged a amazing weekend away for us to celebrate xmas. Here is what we all go up to.  http://turnersworldtours.co.uk/2013/12/20/its-beginning-to-look-alot-like-christmas/

So that is my 2013, Its been a amazing year and I cannot wait for 2014. With my year starting with a bang. I will be on board the new NCL Getaway in January I will keep you all updated on that with a blog and pictures, then followed by a family trip to Walt Disney world in Florida in February. Who knows what the rest of 2014 with hold for me but I cannot wait to see.

I would like to wish all my customers, colleagues and friends  a very Happy New Year and look forward to speaking to you in 2014!!!!!!
