Virgin Atlantic will also be having the 787 Dreamliner

The way we fly has come a long way. Cramped together like Sardines and no leg room, seats that hardly recline and just uncomfortable. Short haul isn’t so bad, you feel you can put up with it for a couple of hours or so but Long haul? I often speak to people who just can’t sit through a long haul flight because they think it is just too uncomfortable for such a distance.

We’ve had Jumbo’s to the latest A380 Airbus and probably the most impressive for a long haul flight on a charter flight has to be the Thomson Dreamliner. Yes we had the teething problems with it but don’t we get that with most things? Lots of other carriers have followed suit and have been ordering these Bowen Dreamliner’s. Virgin Atlantic recently announced their routes for the Dreamliner’s they’ve ordered. I’m very excited about this.

Virgin just happens to be my favourite Airline and I think they have been very clever in being one of the last to place their orders for their new planes. Their Economy seats have always been better than others and Premium Economy and Upper Class Suites are fantastic too.

If you can afford to treat yourself to a little luxury. Only a few routes at this have been announced to where they will be flying too and I’m sure I’m going to want to try theirs. To fly long haul like I like doing is important to be comfortable. Even if you fly Economy and not upgrade.

The more oxygen, larger windows, more room, comfortable seats all these little things make the journey much more enjoyable. It’ great that even the Economy seats are more spacious too so families travelling together to places like Florida won’t feel the new planes are just for those upgrading their seats. I have been lucky enough to Fly both Premium Economy and Upper Class with Virgin and I absolutely love it. The Virgin bar on board is awesome. The feeling like you’re in a bar or a pub having a drink whilst at 30 odd thousand feet is great. It makes the journey go a lot quicker.

Have you ever flown on a Dreamliner with any other carrier? In all cabin types, what’s your opinion on these great new planes?
