Pets at Sea

When it comes to going away. We all have things to do and when it comes to pets we have to see their taken care of. Pet sitters, cattery, kennels. Lots to sort out. I’m a big fan of animals and have plenty of little furry friends to worry about when I’m going away. Now one of the most typical conversation I have with people when it comes to booking their Cruise is they have to check the price and availability of the Cruise and then the next stage is to sort the Dog out before they can book. I hear it lots. How many of you knew that on the Cunard ship you can take your Dog with you? Don’t want to leave your dog at home, don’t, take them with you.

Cunard have Dog kennels on board and funny enough even a little lamppost for them to do their stuff. You can take them for a walk in a designated area. So enjoy your Cruise and not worry about the Dogs.

I think it’s a great idea. I’ve known hotels to accept pets and you can even fly with them “Jet Set Pet” I don’t actually have a Dog in my mini zoo at home but if I did I’d love to go to sea and take them with me. I worry about my Cats, Guinea Pigs and Bunnies when I’m away. So to all those Dog lovers who don’t want to leave their Dog behind this is great from Cunard. I’m not saying we should build a Noah’s Ark and have a Cruise filled with pets at sea but perhaps if other Ocean Liners were to follow and perhaps allow Dogs to travel I think it will encourage all those customers who don’t and wont travel just because of their pet.

They certainly make these ships big enough so I can’t see a pet area being unrealistic. What do you think? Would you take your dog on a UK departure sailing rather than leave it in a Kennel?
