I wish they had holiday activities like this when I was a teenager !

Cruises these days aren’t just there to satisfy your stereotypical professional or retired couple, dependant on the cruise line and ship they really do have something for everyone.

Teenagers should find that these days, lots of cruise lines have some really excellent facilities and activities for them.

I just recently saw this article about a DJ instruction program being tested on the Carnival Freedom and I thought “Wow if only they had things to do like that when I was on holiday as a teenager !”

This DJ instruction program called “Spin U” in conjunction with DJ Irie will allow cruisers aged 15-17yrs to learn how to operate mixing and sound equiptment.  Even better news, the 30 minute introductory program is free of charge.  There will also be a more in depth 45 minute course for only an extra $20.  But for the ultimate aspiring teen DJ’s there will be an activity program called “DJ Master” which will include three one hour classes.  After the classes the attendees will battle it out for a chance to spin their tunes for fellow cruisers on the pool deck.

This is expected to roll out fleet wide by the end of 2015 so for any parents with teenagers who are into their club music and would enjoy learning to DJ, you would make them extremely happy to give them the opportunity to do something like this on their cruise.

This is just another great example of cruise companies finding new and interesting activities for the clientèle on board, nice to hear that the teenagers are being well catered for as well as the adults.
