Keep in touch on board with Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises are just about to release a new messaging app this November on board the Regal Princess before they later roll it out to the rest of their fleet by the end of 2015.

The application will be available for Apple and Android phones and will be free of charge to use.

Passengers will be able to connect the ship’s wifi and then message other passengers on the same sailing for free.  The way that passengers will be able to do this is by connecting to the ship’s wifi hotspot.  Although charges are normally made for internet connectivity, this application will be exempt from that and will function without an internet package being purchased.

With the fact that so many modern cruise ships are so large I think this could be a very useful tool.  I know that when I have been on cruises with groups of people before this app would have been really handy as I could easily find out where everyone is and what everyone is doing.  If you were cruising with your other half it means that you are not going to get lost and wander around the ship looking for each other for ages too.

I think this is a great idea and best of all it is free, you really can’t go wrong !
