Now more than ever there are many countries in the world that expect you to pay and organise a visa before arriving into their country, this might mean something as simple as paying for the visa on arrival or more importantly requiring you to apply for a visa before even leaving your home country. This is the area that catches most people out. Obviously these come at a cost and be expensive and more importantly take some time to organise. The confusion seems to come when people cruise, they think that because they are only going to be on a ship and only may be visiting for a day they believe they wont need a visa, I have no idea why people think this but I see it all the time. The family arrive excited at the ship only to be told when checking in that they will not be able to travel because they are missing the appropriate visas.
