Free drinks free gratuities paid and free on board credit, wow how great is that, many of the major cruise lines are now offering all these benefits and it seems to have interested many more people that would not have necessarily been able to afford a cruise.

Lets face it we all know that drink prices can be very expensive on board many of these ships and now with these all inclusive deals about everyone can take advantage of drinking much more than they would ever have done in the past.

Great news or is it?

Apparently the cruise lines are seeing more and more alcohol related problems on board their ships and these all inclusive deals might just be the reason, too be fair if I was to book a cruise with an all inclusive drinks package included even though I don’t normally drink much I would certainly make the most of the free alcohol, I might even do something I would never imagine doing back home.

Are the cruise lines to blame or should the blame land on the individuals themselves, I do find it an interesting point.

Are cheapo deals bringing cruises down market?
I was appalled recently on a mini cruise by some last minute cruisers who had got a really really cheap deal and yet were so demanding and grabbing and complaining whilst on board and aiming to get their entitlement and their money’s worth and more at every opportunity, even if it meant elbowing everyone else out of the way.

It was a mini cruise, so maybe that was why, but some people think that late and cheapo deals overall are attracting the wrong sort of cruiser and spoiling it for others and bringing cruising down market fast – and are also making a mockery of booking early.

Others are saying that without these cheap deals, many cruises would not set sail.
