Up in smoke

So it looks like smokers are being given a really bad rep at the moment, and things don’t seem to be getting any better if you want to do a cruise, back in the day you could pretty much smoke anywhere on a cruise, then they started adding no smoking areas on a certain side of the ship, be it port side or starboard side. Then we could only smoke on our balconies and now that has even changed. You can’t even smoke in the privacy of your own balcony now. It is putting many smokers off booking a cruise now, and as a smoker myself I can totally understand why. You go away to wind down, relax and get away from the stresses of everyday life, just for those 7 or 14 days.
