That’s Entertainment!

Which ship or cruise line for you, gives you the best entertainment at sea? That’s a tough question don’t you think as there are so many to choose from.

A recent survey asked cruise lovers the very same question, I was surprised to see some of the answers. To start with, the ships were split into 3 groups, large, medium and small then from there people were asked which they thought the best were for them with any particular reason why.

In the large ship category the ship on top is the lovely Norwegian Escape. The Cotton Club musical in particular was high up on the list for a smashing night out.  Then we have another Norwegian ship the Jade, simply because there is so much variety. Thirdly we have RCL on the Allure Of The Seas – with shows like the ice show, high water dive act and Headliners comedy show that comes as no surprise. I am however surprised it is only 3^rd!

Now we look at medium size ships.  Once again NCL is on top with the Norwegian Sun, then we have the MSC Lirica followed by the Thomson Majesty. Again, another surprise for me. The Sun is not so but the Lirica was.  I have cruised twice with MSC and although I think they are smashing, the entertainment can be hit or miss – not so on this ship!  The Majesty is not a surprise though as Thomson have a great entertainment team.

Lastly, we look at the smaller ships. Top on this category is the Viking Star.  More great reviews on how good the entertainment team are along with the variety of shows.  Then we have P&O Adonia, followed by Fred Olsen Balmoral and I have to mention Cruise & Maritime Astoria. It is nice to see!

Of course, this is only a survey and not everyone’s choice I am sure. However, it is interesting to see that RCL only get one mention. I will say though that my recent trip on the Harmony Of The Seas the entertainment was fantastic. I will be watching out for the next survey that’s for sure!
