Back From Cyprus And Onto My Next Adventure

Well I have just returned from a month in Cyprus feeling relaxed and refreshed. My family, Friends and I had a wonderful time.

We even got to have a holiday within a holiday, travelling to Paphos for a few days to enjoy the Western side of the Island.

One of Thomson Cruise’s ships – Spirit – docked into Larnaca one day. It is a pity that more cruise ships don’t visit Cyprus, there are lots of different things to see and do. If you want to spend a lazy day on the beach then head to Nissi Beach or Protaras, the beaches are soft and sandy and the water is great for swimming.

If you want to see some history, you won’t be disappointed – It is easy to spend a whole day in Larnaca visiting St Lazarus Church, Hala Sultan Tekke – Muslims Holy monument in Larnaca, Kamares Aquaduct to name just 3 things to do.

And I musn’t forget the divided city of Nicosia. You can enjoy some retail therapy on Ledra Street, have a lovely lunch in one of the many restaurants and even visit Northern Cyprus now they have opened up the border crossing.

As I said earlier, it’s such a pity that more cruise ships don’t visit this wonderful Island.

However, in the title of my latest blog, I mention onto my next adventure……..

I am off again this weekend to experience Silver Spirit, Silversea’s largest luxury liner. I will experience all she has to offer for 3 nights sailing from Malta to Rome – I can not wait. I will be sure to take lots of pictures of the staterooms, food – in fact anything that will be of interest.

I will let you know how I get on next time.
