Royal Princess “Skywalk” vs Anthem of the seas “North Star”

Wow this is the Skywalk on-board the Royal Princess lit up at night. I saw this on the pragram “The Cruise Ship” a few weeks back and thought wow what an experience this would be to walk over. Although I suffer from vertigo it has to be said going on such an elegant ship I would have to try my hand at this. Some customer’s say it is such a pleasant experience especially when it is all lit up an night – a perfect picture moment or even a “selfie”.

The Skywalk extends out by 28ft, is 60ft long and is 128ft above the ocean. It offers dramatic glass bottom panels with views that no other ship can offer. Well maybe not until the Anthem of the seas starts sailing in 2015 with the “North Star” which will be 300ft above the ocean with 360 degree views.

With this being the new venture for Royal Caribbean we are seeing a huge increase in customers booking onto the Anthem of the seas and to be honest you can’t blame these customers. This is something that no other cruise line has and is unique to Royal Caribbean. Although I don’t think myself I could really push myself that far to go in it, I am sure there will be plenty of customers querying to get on this.
