Cruise Lotions & Potions

Most customers who book their cruise are overwhelmed by the excitement of it all knowing that they got a fantastic deal. However, just how much do you really prepare for your cruise from knowing what to pack to knowing your itinerary and evening entertainment.

When I did my first long haul cruise down the Mexican Riviera I took a sunscreen factor 10. Silly me and as you can imagine I got burnt. The 1st day we were at sea and it didn’t feel all to hot especially with that sea breeze. However the next day I was scorched. A fellow passenger advised me to put some Aloe Vera on my burnt areas. Of course I did not have any so off to the shop I went to purchase some. After using it for a while I could feel the improvement.

I have spoken to a few customers who have their old wives tales such as using a used tea bags on sunburn’t skin, toothpaste and the wackiest one yet Vicks Vapour rub! not to sure about that one.

However some people forget just how burn’t you can get when cruising so make sure you take a high factor sunscreen and protect yourself from getting burn’t.

Most cruise lines will have a shop on-board that you can purchase lotions for burn’t skin along with other medical remedies. Worse case scenario take yourself to the medical center for treatment. But I hope you all are thinking about the sunscreen factor you will take with you.
