It’s all-change on Norwegian Joy, a prized jewel in Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) fleet – as the ship has just undergone an extensive refurbishment of its spa, Vibe Beach Club, and Owner’s Suites.
The ship has been in a three-week dry dock undergoing the refresh, which was announced by Norwegian Cruise Line last year. In addition to the refurbishments, 24 new balcony staterooms have also been installed on the ship.

Guests onboard Norwegian Joy can now relax in the serene surroundings of the brand-new Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa and Salon, now the largest within NCL’s Breakaway-Plus class. The Thermal Suite features a sauna, ice room, steam room and four senses loungers.
Elsewhere onboard, luxurious The Haven by Norwegian® Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony has been expanded to include three bedrooms. The decadent two suites also have renovated living rooms, a master bedroom and outdoor balcony furniture, alongside a decadent new separate dining room that looks out over The Haven Horizon Lounge.
For those seeking a more grown-up atmosphere, the exclusive adults-only Vibe Beach Club has also undergone a substantial expansion. The venue has taken over the space previously occupied by the Laser Tag arena on deck 20, and now has its own private luxe cabanas.
As well as these all-new spaces, venues and features, guests can continue to enjoy Norwegian Joy’s 21 established bars and lounges, quarter-mile oceanfront promenade, Joy Speedway, Aqua Park, world-class entertainment, and 16 eateries.
The ship is now sailing on a range of glittering round-trip Bermuda-intensive voyages from New York.
