Modern, fan-favourite Disney films, Encanto and Soul, have come to life on the high seas as part of all-new family-friendly experiences and entertainment offerings onboard Disney Magic.
A Soul-themed jazz bar, upgrades to concierge services, plus new shore power connections have all been installed on the ship during a recent dry dock refurbishment, alongside the addition of an Encanto-inspired activity.
Passengers of all ages will be able to meet members of the extraordinary Madrigal family, as part of a brand-new, interactive Encanto Experience. As well as seeing and taking photos with family members Mirabel and Bruno, guests can also take part in arts and crafts, and a themed Encanto sing-along all accompanied by film-inspired mocktails, soft drinks and Colombian beers.
The heart-warming tale of Soul – a Disney Pixar film which tells the story of music teacher Joe Gardner and his passion for jazz – is the theme of the newly designed Soul Cat Lounge, specially designed to look like protagonist Joe’s favourite music spot, the Half Note Lounge.
Situated on deck three, Soul Cat Lounge oozes New York jazz club style, wooden accents, leather seating, custom artwork, concert posters, and brick wall decoration. The lounge hosts live music and even has its own dance floor – perfect for a spot of late-night boogieing!
For those looking for a tipple to sip in the Soul Cat Lounge, the venue has a number of Manhattans and martinis to choose from, plus a selection of native brews and cocktails made with New York-famous spirits.
Concierge services have been enhanced to deliver a more “elevated” experience for passengers onboard Disney Magic. The concierge lounge has been redesigned to feature a more tropical colour palette, inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ movie “Moana”, and an outdoor covered seating area has also been installed.
Concierge suites onboard have been revamped with fresh furniture, fixtures and fittings, as well as new artwork. State-of-the-art shore power technology has also been installed on Disney Magic, enabling the ship to connect to a port’s electrical grid in a bid to reduce emissions.
