Experience Movies Under The Stars Without Leaving Your Room With Sky Princess’ New Suites

*Update as of 30th July 2018*

Princess has just announced further features for next ship on the horizon, Sky Princess.

The ship will debut in the Mediterranean next October and will boast a Wakeview pool on its aft decks.

In addition to the pool, the vessel will also feature a couple of new deep-tank top deck pools, a Retreat Pool and more Jacuzzis than the previous Royal-Class ships.

This will include two cantilevered over the deep-tank pools.

Sky Princess will introduce extra ways for guests to unwind with the Sanctuary area offering twice as many private cabanas as its sister ships.

The ship’s Vista Lounge will have a new look, finished with a full bar and a new café in the Princess Live venue, serving barista made coffee, tea and quick bites.

Princess Cruises’ newest ship, Sky Princess, is due to sail its maiden Caribbean season in December 2019.

Guests will have one truly exciting new feature to look forward to on the Royal-class ship; a new suite category to the line.

Sky Suites will be located at the top of the ship and feature 270-degree views.

Guests of these suites will be able to enjoy the ship’s outdoor theatre concept, Movies Under the Stars, without leaving their rooms.

Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said: “Our two new Sky Suites reflect Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to offer new and expansive accommodations that meet the needs of our guests who wish to explore the world in ultimate comfort.”

The suites will hold up to five and offer the largest balconies in the Princess fleet.

The line plans to create a series of new amenities exclusive to the suites, however more details will be released in the following months.

Sky Princess will homeport out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, kicking off the season with a three-night sailing and departing December 4th 2019.

Following this, it will alternate between seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from December 7th 2019 to April 4th 2020.

One unique feature of the itineraries means that every port call to St. Thomas and Cozumel will include late-night stays.

Joining Sky Princess in the Caribbean during the 2019/20 season will be four other Princess ships: Caribbean Princess, Crown Princess, Pacific Princess, Regal Princess, with all five offering a total of 10 itineraries.

Like Sky Princess, Regal will offer weeklong Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, with longer stays in St. Thomas and Cozumel.

The longer Caribbean itineraries will range between 10 and 14 nights and will be offered on Caribbean Princess and Crown Princess and focus on the Southern Caribbean.

Like its sisters Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess, Sky Princess will feature the SeaWalk (a glass walkway that extends from the top deck) and Princess Live TV studio, as well as a handful of Princess staples like the multi-story Piazza atrium and adults-only Sanctuary sun deck.
