My Prom Queen

So, after a lot of planning, shopping trips, appointments for hair trials, spray tans, nails finally was over when my daughter had her leaving school prom.

She had a truly wonderful day and it was great spending the day with her preparing herself for the big event.

My daughter loves make-up and fashion and was in her element preparing for the big event! We had a very tight schedule to stick to! It all started a couple of days before where she had her eye lashes done, nails, then it was leg waxing, toes nails and of course the obligatory spray tans! The day of the prom started with her first hair appointment in Stratford at 10.00 for a toner, hair wash and blow dry, we then had a little spare time for lunch before it was her second hair appointment to have her hair pinned up. We then headed home for the final stage of makeup and her dress.

The event was held at a local venue called the Limes and her and her friends were getting there by a stretch limousine which was leaving her friend’s house at 6 for an hour of being driven around before getting to the event at 7.

We had family and friends round the house from 4.30 before we headed over to her friends where the limousine was picking them up. We were fortunate with the weather as the day before it rained most of the day.

After the prom I picked Freya and her friends up and they all got changed into more comfortable clothes and headed out for the after party! After a sleepless night for me and her Dad she finally came home at 5.30am!! I am not looking forward to the days she starts clubbing!!

It was lovely to see Freya and her friends all dressed up and looking very grown up, some of her friends she has known since nursery days!
