Are Princess Cruises going All-Inclusive?

Princess Cruises have started a new campaign now , with an All-Inclusive drinks package included and up to $1500 on board credit. It’s for all caribbean sailings only and not other destinations yet. They are probably want to see how this campaign will go first. he deal is available from 2-31 July 2019 and applies to nearly 250 voyages on six of the line’s ships, departing from 1 December 2019 – 22 May 2021.Guests one and two in a stateroom can take advantage of an all-inclusive drinks package including speciality coffee and tea, soft drinks, cocktails, wine, beer and premium spirits. Any additional stateroom guests will receive a package comprising coffee and tea, soft drinks, fruit juices, hot chocolate, smoothies and mocktails. I am not sure personally if this will be a success as other lines have tried it and it’s not always going well with the cruisers. As you can imagine, the prices have increased considerably as they have added the drinks packages into the costing as nothing is free nowadays and many customers may be put off by the inflated prices.Princess Cruises is offering a seven-day Eastern Caribbean voyage, sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale on Sky Princess, departing 25 January 2020. Prices start from £899pp, with up to $250 spending money per person. I suppose it will appeal to some people as All Inclusive is growing more popular even in the Land based holidays in recent years but it’s all boils down to cost and if the prices are very high then they will be put off and go to other lines such as Royal Caribbean or Carnival Cruises instead. Also, they have not mentioned the tips as those will still be a seperate extra which will not make the cruise to complete all inclusive as you have these on top, plus the usual speciality dining that always cost extra.
