The New Independence of the Seas

I’m so excited that I am off to see the new Independence of the Seas next week!!

I’m travelling for her 2 night sailing from Southampton, on the 15/05/18 with work and it has been a long, long time, since I experienced a Royal Caribbean ship. I cannot wait to see her, especially with her new features.

I sell cruises every day, but it’s really nice to experience the ships, especially when customers are asking me things about them It’s nice to have that first-hand knowledge of them. Independence will be one of the biggest ships I have sailed on, so I’m really excited and can’t wait to show, and tell my daughter all about her.

One of the things when being offered this trip, is how am I going to get down to Southampton? Especially when it’s just a 2 night cruise.

I was going to drive, but thought would I really want to drive back? I couldn’t have a few drinks the night before! Don’t get me wrong…. I’m not a big drinker, but it will be the first time away since having my daughter and she’s 3 in June. My Manager said why didn’t I get the train from Sheffield to London then get the underground to catch my next train to Southampton (she didn’t realise I didn’t do public transport)!!!…… plus, I will not be confident in making sure that I got the right underground train. So, I’ve decided to get the train from Sheffield to Manchester Airport, then the flight from Manchester to Southampton (I just really hope nothing gets delayed). This seemed the easiest and best way for me without driving.

One of the things I’m really looking forward to seeing on her is the new trampoline park as I know this is something the kids will love (well I know my niece does).  I’m excited to sample Johnny Rockets as well and just seeing the whole ship. I go on the Rhapsody of the Seas in October with my family, and I’m really hoping the Independence doesn’t spoil me that much that I’m left really disappointed with the Rhapsody of the Seas.
