Summer over? Time to look for a Marella!

Wow, we are in September. Shops are starting to clear the back-to-school displays to make space for lots of glittery, cinnamon-smelling items that we associate with the end of the year.

I cannot bring myself to mention the C word until at least November but the supermarkets already have cakes and puddings readily stacked high.

Personally, I love summer and being able to open wide my windows when home and not worry about taking jackets and jumpers out with me. I love using my garden as an extra room and whilst I’m not a great gardener, I enjoy watching everything burst into flower.

So, as soon as the evenings start to draw in and the temperature drops, I do not start planning the Yuletide festivities 3 months in advance, I start planning my next break.

I have cruised a lot on many different ships but I have never sailed with Marella or Thomson Cruises as they were previously known as.

Whilst researching the cost of all-inclusive hotels for a nice relaxing winter break, I was quite shocked at how high some of them are compared to the great value of a cruise.

Marella have some great itineraries and charter flights from a lot of regional airports. They include flights, overseas transfers, food, gratuities, entertainment and are all inclusive so even drinks are in the price. Why stay in  just one place when you can visit five different places in a week? Winter sun destinations include the Caribbean, Middle East, Far East as well as the short-haul favourites the Mediterranean and Canary Islands.

Marella now have six ships in their fleet ranging from Celebration, the smallest, with 631 cabins to their newest addition Explorer 2 with 907 cabins. The cruise line have a very loyal following and looking closely at the itineraries and prices, it is easy to see why.

I will definitely be sampling this soon and if I have whetted your appetite, give me a call.
