Jewels of Asia

Way back in 1996 I could not decide which cruise to do for our honeymoon. Caribbean or Jewels of Southeast Asia. We plumped for Western Caribbean on board Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. An amazing time was had but we promised we would one day try the Far East. So 21 years later we are jetting off to Singapore.mariner

After a Manchester Abu Dhabi then on to Singapore with Etihad we will have 1 night pre cruise to hopefully visit Gardens by the Bay and recover from our long flight then board Mariner of the Seas. yes another Royal Caribbean ship for a 7 night Malaysia and Thailand cruise. I am so excited as a first for both of us. After departing Singapore we head to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia’s capital city, followed by Penang, Langkawi an overnight in Phuket where I want to see as much as possible seedy or not, a day at sea and return back into Singapore for 3 nights based at the Swissotel Merchant Court in the famous Clarke Quay. We intend to do as many others have done and experience a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar at Raffles, take the cable car to Sentosa Island, visit the Botanical Gardens to see thousands of types of Orchids and shop till we drop on Orchard Road.

I cannot wait and look forward to telling you all about it on my return.
