My Trip Of A Life Time Exploring Perth, Australia : Continued !

Well after the most exciting day swimming with wild dolphins the next day we were off for a tour around Perth and Kings Garden on a Segway, yes you heard me right !

Early morning we all arrived at Barrack Street Jetty. Our tour guides waiting for us to go through our induction, they go through everything with you before even stepping onto a Segway. They explain how to use/navigate one, then one by one we all jumped on a Segway and had a bit of a whirl around Barrack Street Jetty.

These thing do not have brakes on, to navigate you have to lean your body forward to go forward, lean back to stop and to turn you have to move your body left and right, it is all down to you having to balance and also knowing how to move your body in the right direction. After a while we all got used to it and it was brilliant, I had a few mishaps on the way but nothing too major. We first drove through Elizabeth Quay Waterfront, the views of this place were just breath taking !

Then headed off to the beautiful Kings Park. We explored tree lined avenues honouring Western Australia’s fallen soldiers then drove through secluded parts of the park where you could see parrots and loads off different native birds and animals, drove through the park’s botanical garden, full off wildflowers and the views over the Swan River were just amazing.

I have to be honest if you want to see Perth as its best get yourself on a Segway for a tour it was one of the best experiences I have ever had and so much fun !

Stay tuned for my next instalment of my Aussie adventure, I have so much more to share with you all !

Put a shrimp on the barbi ! !
