Universal Cabana Beach Bay Resort

As you may have seen from my last blog, I have recently returned from my holiday in Florida. I had an amazing time and I wanted to share details of the hotel I stayed in which was the Universal Cabana Beach Bay Resort.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to focus on the parks especially Universal. From this hotel you can walk to Universal’s newest waterpark ‘Volcana Bay’. There is also a free shuttle to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The shuttle buses run around every 10 minutes and is only 5-10 minutes from the parks.

I stayed in a family suite room which had a kitchen/lounge area with microwave, fridge and coffee making facilities.  It had a sliding door that can separate the lounge and bedroom area. My favourite part was there were two bathroom areas, so my partner and I could easily get ready at the same time and I didn’t have to rush!

There was a great pool scene and the hotel even has a lazy river which makes it perfect if you want a day relaxing by the pool after long days enjoying the parks.

There is a main dining area which offers around four different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I liked this because if my boyfriend and I wanted different meals we could easily cater for this. There is also dining by the pool areas.

I would recommend pre-booking your park tickets before you go especially if you are planning to spend more than one day at that particular park. We had pre-booked the 14 day, three park Universal ticket and we could collect these at the hotel so it saved us time having to collect at the park. If you do need park tickets though, you can purchase these at the hotel.

As this is a Universal hotel we got an hour early access to Islands of Adventure (Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and Volcana Bay, which really helped as we got a lot more of the park done before it got too busy.

I hope this has given you more information about the hotel and if you are considering a stay at Universal this is a great hotel to go for.
