We reveal the best way to do it on board!

When it comes to doing it onboard, people seem to fall into one of two categories…

…those who prefer to spend their cruise holiday avoiding it completely, and those who really look forward to the opportunity to do it onboard; & enjoy the added satisfaction that can come from getting a great deal on your next cruise, through the onboard sales office.

So why bother doing it on board?

If you are likely to cruise again in the future with the same cruiseline, it would definitely be worth your while looking into the perks of booking a future sailing whilst on board. During your voyage, the sales office feature many deals and promotions exclusive to cruisers that are not available on land…

Each of the cruiselines tend to offer a range of tempting onboard booking promotions such as : extra onboard spending money, reduced deposits and some very attractive discounted rates! Taking advantage of these offers means your holiday money goes further and you gain a lot more benefits for your hard-earned cash.

Most of the major cruiselines also offer added flexibility when booking on board, allowing you the freedom to amend your reservation once you return home without incurring extra fees and charges.

…& some cruiselines even offer their own ‘flexible-sailing’ packages which enable you to lock-in the benefits of booking on board and seal the specific dates of your preferred sailing once home.

Of course many cruisers avoid booking on board as they enjoy the benefit of booking with their tried & trusted agent, and who can blame them?! 🙂

However, the secret to ‘the best way to do it on board’ is to ensure that when you make your reservation, simply request that the booking be credited to your chosen agent – in this way, you reap all the exclusive onboard benefits, as well as securing the trusted service of your preferred agent; who will likely then also offer you some additional perks / added discount on your reservation.

So when it comes to your next cruise, why not take a stroll along to the onboard sales desk to see for yourself the exclusive offers that are available to you… and if you do choose to book on board, be sure to add the details of you preferred agent to your onboard reservation and we shall say a big ‘thank you’ with some added discount / benefits once you’re back on dry land.

For more information on the range of exclusive onboard-booking-benefits for your favourite cruiseline, as well as great offers on a range of ocean and river cruise options; as always, make me your first port of call 🙂

  1. Hi Katrina the only time we did this was with HAL, but they didn’t tell us that if you payed in dollars you had to book a cruise in dollars. Since then, the only time we booked for a future cruise, we haven’t bothered.
Are there any more things to look out for, or tips to be had?

    Kindest Regards
