The Impressive Vikings

Starting your day with a healthy breakfast is always a good idea. Some find it hard to get out of bed after a heavy night though, Viking’s breakfast was something I would look forward to each morning.

Choices were never ending from pastries, fruit juices, cereals to hot buffet, always on offer was chef making your choice of omelettes or eggs whether fried or boiled or eggs benedict, again whatever takes your fancy was never any trouble to the staff, all diets were catered for, on our sailing there was a mixture of nationalities.

Tea & Coffee were available all day every day at the stations – on each side of the ship, along with pastries and hot chocolate & to make things even more luxurious a bottle of brandy or scotch was at hand for those who wanted something a little stronger in their tea or coffee.

Water was delivered to your cabin each day also when going out each day one of the many tours you were also given complimentary bottles of water to carry with your throughout the day- again this was a lovely idea.

Included in your cruise are the complimentary drinks with your meals, Wine, Beer & Soft Drinks, they are free-flowing too as soon as the waiter see’s you have had a drink. he quickly comes around and tops up your glass – very nice….

The bar on board the ship was always well stocked and very often a tray of shot glasses would find there way around the lounge, the bar staff were always trying to make sure all clients were made to feel welcome, and it was a good way for the staff to experiment with the drinks on board and find out what was popular and what wasn’t – all were complimentary this again was an extremely nice touch.
