Celebrity & Virgin Ticked All The Boxes

Back from my annual hols and what a fantastic trip we had.

Our holiday started off at London Heathrow we had Virgin Flights to Miami and I decided to upgrade us to Premium Economy and I’m so pleased I did, what did we get for our extra money?

For a start we got early embarkation which I liked & once on board, we had seats 20A and 20C window seat and the one next to, the aircraft seating was 2-3-2, configuration which  pleased me as we didn’t have to climb over another passenger to have a walk about or go to the loo’s.

Baggage – You are allowed 2 x pieces of luggage for the hold and your usual hand luggage.

Seating -huge leather seats wide for our rather large rear ends!! and with lots of extra leg room too, as soon as we got to our seats we were given a choice of Champagne or soft drinks, we both went for the Champagne in PROPER GLASSES and not plastic cups – what a relief. Then it was time to flick through the 115 choices of films to watch over the next 8-9 hours journey. Shortly after take off the drinks trolley came around, so again we had to oblige.

Food- Starters was a mixed salad bowl Japanese style and in a PROPER BOWL not plastic with PROPER KNIVES & FORKS – not plastic, Wine freely flowing.  Main Meal was a choice of 3 options, I had the Chicken Tagliatelle with vegetables and lovely PROPER PLATES- not plastic ones. Dessert was Lemon Drizzle Cake followed by cheese & biscuits, again all washed down by glasses of wine.

Afternoon Tea- A warm scone with fresh cream and jam on a lovely porcelain plate with tea or coffee.

If- you still feel a bit peckish during the flight and want to stretch your legs you can wander up to the galley area and help yourself to drinks, nibbles and crisps etc.

The flight was extremely good and quick I would definitely recommend anyone to upgrade if possible, my biggest pleasure was to have no plastic utensils and cutlery with glasses and cups – not one piece of plastic at all…
