How much fun can you have at sea?

It’s been a busy week with lots of enquiries for one of our most popular packages ‘Music Cities’. This amazing package includes stops in Memphis including a visit to Graceland, New Orleans where you can experience a Jazz cruise and then on-wards to relax on your Caribbean Cruise. However the packages I have been selling this week all include a cruise aboard a ‘Fun ship’ with Carnival Cruises. Every piece of literature you read or video you watch the word ‘Fun’ is highlighted and mentioned more than once! Choose fun being their tag line throughout. So much for the relaxing part!

Reading up a bit more about how Carnival cruises was born and the reasoning behind them creating fun ships was very interesting. It completely made me look at Carnival a completely different way. From their very first ship the ‘Mardi Gras’ which launched in 1972 (which is soon to be reborn as a brand new ship https://www.cruise.co.uk/bulletin/2020-looks-fun-tastic-carnivals-mardi-gras-take-first-look-2/), they wanted to make cruising accessible not only to the rich but to everybody. Everybody should experience a cruise in their lifetime and Carnival wanted to make most people’s dreams a reality.

Fast forward 47 years and by the end of 2020 they will have a fleet of 29 ships all including the instantly recognisable whale tail funnel!

So what makes Carnival so popular?

Well let them explain:-

Sounds good doesn’t it! I for one will be keeping an eye out for a cruise to take my family on, and Carnival might just be my cruise line of choice 🙂

It would be interesting to find out everyone else’s views. Have you sailed with Carnival before and what was your experience? If not have you ever considered them and if not what were your reasons.

Post away everyone and I will look forward to reading your comments.
